Level 2 Countryside and Environment (Environmental Conservation)
An introduction for those who would like to work towards a career in countryside and environmental management.
This course offers a mix of practical nature conservation with underpinning theory in the ecology and management of British wildlife habitats. It is carried out in a range of natural, wild and urban environments, delivered by a dedicated team of tutors with industry experience.
In partnership with employers and land managers, we have many opportunities to work in woodland, meadow, moorland, wetland and river habitats. Our location gives us ready access to local urban environments such as country parks, woods and nature reserves, in addition to the wider countryside areas.
Usually at least 4 GCSEs at grade E or above including Maths and English (new GCSE grading level 3) with Science desirable. Alternatively a suitable Level 1 vocational qualification with English and Maths at Level 1.
Students completing the Level 2 to a high standard would be considered for enrolment onto the Level 3 in Countryside Management or Apprenticeship in Environmental Conservation.
